The Universe Intervenes

One day Instagram suggested an account to follow, and, intrigued, I checked it out. I cannot say quite what it was, but there was something about Eli’s account that caught my attention and I felt that I must follow her. And then contact her to propose a photoshoot together – at that time I was making the leap from specialising in architecture to focus instead on people and Urbex. 

Along with her boyfriend, we met for a coffee and get to know each other. I sensed a tremendous depth to her personality, her soul, her creativity – but I also detected a complexity. This excited me – it was something that I wanted to introduce into my newfound passion for exploring abandoned places and reintroducing a sense of humanity.

Un jour, Instagram a suggéré un compte à suivre et, intriguée, j'ai vérifié. Je ne peux pas dire exactement ce que c'était, mais il y avait quelque chose sur le compte d'Eli qui a attiré mon attention et j'ai senti que je devais la suivre. Et puis la contacter pour lui proposer un photoshoot ensemble - à cette époque, je faisais le saut de la spécialisation en architecture pour me concentrer plutôt sur les gens et Urbex. 

Avec son petit ami, nous nous sommes rencontrés pour prendre un café et apprendre à nous connaître. J'ai senti une énorme profondeur dans sa personnalité, son âme, sa créativité - mais j'ai aussi détecté une complexité. Cela m'a enthousiasmé - c'était quelque chose que je voulais introduire dans ma nouvelle passion pour l'exploration des lieux abandonnés et la réintroduction d'un sentiment d'humanité. 

Phototherapy in Action

Since then we have done several shoots together – exploring our respective senses of creativity at either end of the camera, but also getting to know – and resolve – the complexities that I had spotted on that first meeting. Eli has been central in helping me understand the role that phototherapy can play in resolving childhood wounds, to develop self-confidence and esteem, to reduce negative belief patterns, and to steer life towards happiness and abundance. Having embarked on photography myself once again as a creative outlet for myself, it has been fascinating to understand how this passion can also play such an important part in my professional life. That I have now formalised phototherapy as a professional service is in many respects due to the wonders that Eli achieved through our work together. 

La Photothérapie en Action

Depuis, nous avons fait plusieurs séances photo ensemble - en explorant nos sens respectifs de la créativité à chaque extrémité de la caméra, mais aussi en apprenant à connaître - et à résoudre - les complexités que j'avais repérées lors de cette première rencontre. Eli a joué un rôle central en m'aidant à comprendre le rôle que la photothérapie peut jouer pour résoudre les blessures de l'enfance, pour développer la confiance en soi et l'estime de soi, pour réduire les schémas de croyance négatifs et pour orienter la vie vers le bonheur et l'abondance. Après m'être à nouveau lancée dans la photographie comme exutoire créatif pour moi-même, il a été fascinant de comprendre comment cette passion peut aussi jouer un rôle si important dans ma vie professionnelle. Le fait que j'ai maintenant formalisé la photothérapie en tant que service professionnel est en grande partie dû aux merveilles qu'Eli a réalisées grâce à notre travail ensemble. 

Part of Her Journey

Very few are blessed doing jobs that they really enjoy – I feel very fortunate to be one of them. Not least because it brings me into contact with such charming and inspirational people as Eli, and to be part of her journey.

Très peu ont la chance de faire un travail qu'ils aiment vraiment - je me sens très chanceuse d'être l'une d'entre eux. Notamment parce que cela me permet d'entrer en contact avec des personnes aussi charmantes et inspirantes qu'Eli, et de faire partie de son voyage.
